"Young people don’t just want facts — they want to feel seen, heard, and respected. Gamification helped us meet them where they are."

As Digital Content Lead at RNW Media, I wanted to rethink how we approach sexuality education. Traditional, risk-based messaging wasn’t connecting. So I helped lead a shift — toward pleasure-positive, honest, and engaging learning experiences powered by gamification.

What We Built

  • 3 self-assessment quizzes on contraception and STIs

  • 3 interactive knowledge games focused on sexual health and well-being

  • Co-created with SRHR experts, educators, and developers

  • Localized and translated for multiple regions

What Happened

  • 10,000+ users engaged within the first 6 weeks

  • Pageviews doubled, bounce rate dropped by 33%

  • Cross-cultural impact through localized content

  • Real-time insights using Google Analytics & Riddle

Sharing What We Learned

I captured the full journey — strategy, impact, and lessons — in a whitepaper: Gamification Strategy for Social Change. This became a reference point for future projects on how to build interactive, human-centered education for behavior change.

Why It Mattered

We didn’t just deliver content — we invited exploration. This work proved that when you make learning interactive and inclusive, you create real impact.
